GRIND TIME: CURREN$Y & 2011

Now that the ink is dry on Curren$y’s Warner Bros. contract, he’s wasting no time in making his arrival known. The Jets Life star is ready to take flight, with several new albums and a promo tour lined up for 2011.

Curren$y has two new longplayers, Muscle Car Chronicles and Pilot Talk III, penciled for 2011. The former Young Money associate kicked off his widely acclaimed Pilot Talk series in 2010 with Pilot Talk and Pilot Talk II, issued through Damon Dash’s BluRoc Records and distributed by Def Jam. The two street albums moved about 70,000 units combined and helped Curren$y earn a reported $750K in touring on his own.

The former XXL Freshman is also putting finishing touches on a new EP, Covert Coup, produced entirely by The Alchemist. Covert Coup will hit the iTunes on April 19th, just in time for the 4/20 holiday in Smoker Nation. The aforementioned promo tour begins the next night in New Orleans.

Curren$y’s tour bus will stop by over 40 cities, including New York, Los Angeles, Houston, and Vancouver -Jets fool Blog.
